The N’Gabou is a variety of the N’Dama that originated in the Guinea-Bissau areas of Gabú (the eastern-most region), Bafatá (the north-central region) and the Farim (a river also known as the Cacheu as it approaches the ocean).
The N’Gabou is also found in Casamance, Senegal — an area south of The Gambia through which the Casamance River flows.
The N’Gabou is white with black points in the ears and, in Guinea-Bissau, also on the ends of the legs.
