Students Claim It's Nonsensical
It's true. It is nonsensical. The students don't usually understand all the references and humor in their Kranky Kids projects.
Most of the references are based on fact and the humor is cultural. What makes it nonsensical is how we mix the two. For example, in Caterpillar Cop certain insects are getting arrested and having trials for reasons that are purely insect oriented yet with a human twist. It's nonsensical and funny.
We also talk about The Pretty Pretty Princess and how the students mostly didn't understand any of their lines in that production. What they did learn was a bunch of vocab and they aced their tests.
