The Majorcan is found on the island of Majorca — the largest of Spain’s Balearic Islands.
The Majorcan is raised for beef and also used for grazing management in areas that are susceptible to fires.
The Majorcan had almost disappeared by 1980, however conservation efforts have now increased numbers from 12 cows and one bull to 462 animals in 2019.
