Flip Boom: Published Animation Size of Your Animation is NOT the Canvas Size

Cheat Sheet 20080315

Go to Menu

The canvas size in Flip Boom is not the published size of your animation. Follow the examples below to see how to plan for this.

Below is your blank Canvas:

Below is the maximum drawing space allowed on your Canvas:

Below is how your published image will be cropped in all playback formats. Your animation will be cropped to the same degree in all directions whether you Publish in QuickTime, AVI or Flash (SWF):

As you can see, all four sides of your animation get sliced off when you Publish. To plan for this, draw within the title safe area shown below (a title safe area is one where all images within that area will be visible on all output destinations):

Top – the imaginary title safe line runs from the top of the black color dot to the top of the words Brush Size
Bottom – the imaginary title safe line runs from the bottom of the yellow color dot to the bottom of the word Publish
Left – the imaginary title safe line starts right before the word Save
Right – the imaginary title safe line starts right before the word Delete
