Tidili -cow- Morocco

Tidili
(most common name)

(local/other name):
• Ouzguitia

The Tidili is a composite breed first documented in the 1980s and then further developed starting in 1987.

The Tidili can be found in the region of Ouarzazate, southeast of Marrakech in the foothills of the High Atlas.

The Tidili is raised mostly for milk, less so for meat. Their lactation milk yield is quite variable (900–1,800, average 933 kg).

Similar to the Brown Atlas in appearance (and likely to have received Brown Atlas admixture), they are smaller yet have a larger udder.

The Tidili coat (darker than the Brown Atlas) can be:
• black (25%)
• brown (68%)
• mixed colour (7%)
