‘Tanzania Shorthorn Zebu’ is the name of an authentic general cattle population that is categorized overall as Small East African Zebu.
Tanzania Shorthorn Zebu cattle are a mixed or indeterminate zebu type and have only recently been surveyed in more depth. They are mainly found in the Dodoma region of central Tanzania on the dry parts of the central plateau between Lake Victoria and Mount Kilimanjaro and southwards into the Iringa highlands.
