Santa Gabriela - extinct - Brazil

Santa Gabriela
(most common name)

The Santa Gabriela originated from 1965 onward in the northeastern part of São Paulo state in Brazil.

The Santa Gabriela was developed at Estação Experimental de Zootecnia de Sertãozinho (formerly Fazenda Santa Gabriela) using:

Red Pied Friesian × (red polled zebu × Devon-Guzerá)

The final Santa Gabriela composition ended up being European (5/8) and zebu (3/8), however the breed has been discontinued.

The Santa Gabriela was polled with a coat color that was usually red, sometimes yellow.

The Santa Gabriela is not listed in the DAD-IS database.
