• Raza Palmera
The Palmera gets its name from the island of La Palma in the Canary Islands of Spain and is thought to descend from Galician Blond cattle brought there for slaughter.
The Palmera is in a conservation program that is encouraged by participation in draught power contests and herd exhibitions. There is also an ongoing effort to gain distinction for its meat.
