Miniature Belted Galloway

The Miniature Belted Galloway is a variety of the Miniature Galloway which can be black, chocolate or belted.

Miniature Galloways in Australia began with foundation herds at Glenblairie and Wannawin. At maturity, bulls have a hip height of less than 49 inches/125 cm; cows have a hip height of less than 47 inches/120 cm.

Registered Miniature Galloways are miniature only in type (no genes for dwarfism have been identified); their pedigree records confirm their antecedents possessed the same phenotype.

Raising Miniature Galloways is popular in Australia, Canada and the USA.
