Makaweli
(historical breed name)
The Makaweli was a composite breed (Devon/Shorthorn) that was developed in Hawaii on the island of Kauai during the 19th century.
Raised on the Makaweli Ranch, the mixture has since changed to Shorthorn/Red Angus and the ‘Makaweli’ breed name is no longer in use.
