The Lohani is a small, compact dual-purpose zebu, native to Northwest Pakistan and is closely related to Afghan cattle. They can be found in the Loralai District in Balochistan province and Dera Ismail Khan (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province).

The Lohani coat can be a variety of colors but they are usually red with white patches. Their primary use is for draught and as pack animals; some cows are milked.
