local/other name (English):
• Libyan Shorthorn
• Libyan Brown Atlas
The Libyan is a transitional breed — an Iberian type that falls between the Brown Atlas and the Egyptian.
The Libyan is very hardy and fares quite well in a harsh landscape of strong winds, little rainfall, and minimal vegetation. Temperatures shift suddenly where they live; their coats go from shaggy to smooth, winter to summer.
(Turkish) mahalli = local
