The Landim is an African east coast sanga cattle type (considered a variety of the Nguni) and is very resistant to many diseases.
The Landim is used for draught and beef production, especially with supplementary feeding during the dry season. Traditional farmers in southern Mozambique place a high value on draught animals and also milk their animals during the wet season.
The Landim has a wide range of coat colors and patterns, including:
• black
• brown
• dark brown
• brown-and-white
• red
