Horro -bull- Ethiopia

Horro
(most common name)

(local/other name):
• Wallega
• Wellega
• Wollega
• Shewa
local/other name (Italian):
• Uollega

The Horro is categorized as a Sanga-Zebu intermediate — meaning it’s a transitional breed that isn’t pure sanga and isn’t pure zebu.

The Horro probably originated in the Horro-Gudru area of eastern Welega and spread to the adjoining parts of western Shewa and what used to be the province of Ilubabor (which was once under Italian rule).
