The French Simmental is a dual-purpose breed that was developed over a long period of time from what originally were mostly triple-purpose animals.
Their milk has a high protein content and the breed is very tolerant of temperature changes. The French Simmental is exported worldwide and often used as a suckler cow in other countries.
