The Fogera originates from around the shores of Lake Tana in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia (which used to be the provinces of Gojam and Gonder).
The Fogera is categorized as a Sanga-Zebu intermediate — meaning it’s a transitional breed that isn’t pure sanga and isn’t pure zebu.
