Dulongs live in groups and graze throughout the entire year. The bulls are said to be fierce. The females hide in the jungles or brushwood before giving birth.
The Dulong belongs to the Bibovine cattle group. Bibovine refers to several species of large Southeast Asian wild cattle that are closely related to common cattle.
