The Chikso is an indigenous variety of the Hanwoo.
The Chikso has a ‘brindle’ coat color — which is defined as brownish or tawny fur streaked with other colors. This streaking has also been described as ‘tiger stripes’.
In Korea, there is an image of a Chikso on an ancient tomb mural from AD 357.
