The Achiote is considered to be a type of Guatemalan Criollo with an admixture of Shorthorn and zebu.
The Achiote is usually yellowish in color.
(Spanish) achiote = anatto
Anatto is an orange-red condiment and food coloring that is derived from the seeds of the achiote tree; in food it creates a yellow or orange color.
