The Cyprus, found on the island of Cyprus (officially: the Republic of Cyprus), is a Damascus type and originates from a crossing of zebu cattle with humpless local cattle.
The Cyprus is similar to the Damascus, the Egyptian and the Lebanese.
The two varieties of Cyprus cattle are:
• Messaoria (raised on the plains)
• Paphos (raised in the hills)
Cypriot is a dialect of Greek spoken on Cyprus.
