According to the DAD-IS database, the old dual-purpose (dairy/beef) Belgium Red Pied (Belgisch roodbont in Dutch) is still bred and listed as stable, though ‘at risk’, with a population of 152 in 2013 and 23 females bred pure. A conservation program is in place.
