Basic Story:
An egg of Mothra, a giant moth, is found.
Godzilla starts attacking cities and Mothra’s egg.
Mothra shows up and dies trying to protect her egg.
Godzilla loses interest and walks away from the egg.
The Shojobin (tiny twin girls from Mothra Island aka Infant Island) sing until the egg hatches and two Mothra larvae come out.
The larvae use cocoon spray to wrap up Godzilla until he plunges into the ocean.

Basic Story:
Ebirah, a giant shrimp, lives by Infant Island.
A terrorist organization uses Infant Island natives as slaves.
Ship-wrecked castaways awaken Godzilla.
The slave natives awaken Mothra.
Godzilla de-claws Ebirah.
Mothra flies everyone away in a basket to safety (except the bad guys).
Godzilla escapes into the ocean as Infant Island is vaporized.

Basic Story:
By 1999, all monsters have been caught and placed on an island called Monsterland.
Communications to the island are stopped by aliens (Kilaaks).
The Kilaaks send the following out to destroy: Godzilla to NYC, Rodan to Moscow, Mothra to Beijing, and Gorosaurus to Paris, etc.
The Kilaaks monster-controlling facility on the moon is destroyed by the UN.
The Kilaaks then release King Ghidorah.
Godzilla and the others (including Kumonga) defeat Ghidorah and return to Monsterland.

1992
Godzilla vs Mothra (remake)

Basic Story:
Millions of years ago Battra (trying to kill humans) fought Mothra (trying to save humans).
Mothra won.
Millions of years later, a Battra larva is awakened by a meteorite.
Godzilla appears.
An egg of Mothra hatches and its larva fights Godzilla.
Battra’s larva interrupts the fracas and fights Godzilla underwater.
Mothra and Battra both go through metamorphosis to become moths and start fighting each other.
Godzilla appears again and nearly kills Battra, but Mothra saves Battra.
Battra and Mothra join forces and paralyze Godzilla.
While they carry Godzilla out to sea and dump him, Battra dies.
Mothra then destroys an asteroid that was heading for Earth.
