Basic Story:

1. Genetic material left behind by Godzilla from his last attack on Tokyo is used to develop anti-nuclear bacteria (ANB) - which is supposed to kill Godzilla.
   
2. A giant mobile plant, Biollante (made of rose DNA, Godzilla DNA, and Erika-dead-daughter-of-a-scientist DNA) is created in the process.
   
3. Godzilla returns.
   
4. Because they share the same DNA, Biollante is able to call to Godzilla.
   
5. They fight and Biollante appears to be dead.
   
6. Godzilla is injected with ANB and nothing happens because his body temperature is too low.
   
7. Biollante’s spores then rain down from space and a larger, more deadly Biollante appears.
   
8. Godzilla and the new, more vicious Biollante fight.
   
9. Godzilla’s temperature rises, the ANB (anti-nuclear bacteria) starts to hurt him, and he retreats.
   
10. However, Biollante is mortally wounded.
    
11. Godzilla must remain in the ocean to keep his temperature low.
    
12. Everyone sighs with relief.
