Basic Story:
Genetic material left behind by Godzilla from his last attack on Tokyo is used to develop anti-nuclear bacteria (ANB), which is supposed to kill Godzilla.
A giant, mobile plant, Biollante (made of rose DNA, Godzilla DNA, and Erika-dead daughter of a scientist-DNA) is created in the process.
Godzilla returns.
Biollante is able to call to Godzilla, since they share the same DNA.
They fight and Biollante appears to be dead.
Godzilla is injected with ANB and nothing happens because his body temperature is too low.
Biollante’s spores then rain down from the space and a larger, more deadly Biollante appears.
Godzilla and the new, more vicious Biollante fight.
Godzilla’s temperature rises, the ANB starts to hurt him, and he retreats.
Biollante is mortally wounded.
Godzilla must remain in the ocean to keep his temperature low.
Everyone sighs with relief. |
