Because he liked the video we made of his book - Ian Lendler came to Santa Rita Elementary on October 22, 2008!
He read the book to the students while it was projected up onto a large screen in the multi-purpose room. Then he explained how he wrote the book and read some of his poems for children - and - he answered A LOT of questions. Afterwards, he signed and personalized copies of his book that the students had bought and brought with them. Watch the short documentary showing the event.

Many people make time for Kranky Kids. This time we were honored to have Griffin Lamachy (who has worked on two of our previous projects - The Raw Pineapple and Kranky Kids Live On Radio), Simon Sommerfeld of Bigger Than Texas Productions and Art Adams (a well-known Director of Photography).

Adam Wilt also donated his time and energy, along with Timothy Blackmore, who took all the still shots you see here on this page. Above is the multi-purpose room where the event took place.

Above, Simon and Adam set-up a jib arm for filming the proceedings from behind and above the audience.

Art set his camera up to shoot the author from an angle.

A Renaissance page then kept the students from entering until all the preparations were set and ready to go. Afterwards, the students had their books signed while other Kranky Kids films played in the background so they wouldn't get bored standing in what turned out to be a very long line of An Undone Fairy Tale fans.

A good time was had by all! |
