The Northeast Dairy was a cross between local Menggu cattle and imported Simmental stock.

The Northeast Dairy was found mainly in the province of Heilongjiang. It appears to have been absorbed during the development of the Chinese Holstein (a composite of Holstein-Friesian, Japanese Friesian and Northeast Dairy).
