Parthenais - cow - France

The Parthenais (aka Parthenaise and La race Parthenaise and Choletais and Gâtinais and Gâtine and Gâtinelle and Vendée-Parthenay in French) was initially a strain of cattle found in Western France.

The Parthenais breed is named after the French town of Parthenay and its herdbook was established in 1893.
